Hand Sanitizers This is sprayed onto & evaporates on the clients hands. It is more efficient than antibacterial soap and water and does not dry the skin. This avoids the problem of absorption of water into the nail plate, which can become trapped & cause lifting & infection.
Nail Sterilizer / Dehydrator These are usually applied with spray pumps or with brush-on applicators. They contain ingredients, which inhibit bacterial or fungal growth occurring between the client's natural nail and artificial ones. Some nail sterilizers can also dehydrate the natural nail plate by sealing out moisture & natural oils that cause artificial nail to lift. The product should be allowed to dry to a chalk white.
Nail Primer Usually supplied with a brush on applicator Nail primer is used to prime the natural nail plate in readiness for the application of overlays. Aids adhesion.
